The Cyber Society of India (CySI) successfully hosted a Cyber Crime Awareness Session in conjunction with the official launch of its Madurai District Chapter. The event was held on 5th July 2025 at Hotel The Metropole, Madurai, and brought together stakeholders from law enforcement, academia, IT, and the general public.

Centered around the theme “IP Address — The Key to Digital Identity”, the session emphasized the growing significance of cyber security in the digital era. Speakers and experts shed light on the pivotal role that IP addresses play in identifying users online and in investigating cyber crimes. The discussions aimed to enhance awareness of digital footprints, the importance of safeguarding one’s digital identity, and how IP tracking can assist in crime detection and prevention.

I spoke and addressed the gathering on Cybercrime trends, top 5 crimes and security guidelines to overcome them.

The launch of the Madurai District Chapter marks a significant milestone in CySI’s ongoing mission to promote cyber awareness and build resilient digital communities across Tamil Nadu and beyond.
